Drenched Rat

At the beginning of episode one, it shows Safu presenting in her classroom. Later when a boy insults her presentation as well as her clothes calling it something from "last year's trend". Safu is immediately angered by that comment and proceeds to attack the boy. Shion tells Safu to stop and end the scene by walking to Safu's grandmother's house. As of "today", in the anime, it is Shion's birthday. Shion tells Safu how excited he was to receive presents. That night when they arrived, Safu's grandmother knitted a matching sweater for Shion from Safu. Then, Safu shows Shion her closet and how all the clothes she never had to buy because of her grandma knitted them for her. A very important line said by Safu's grandma from this point was "I can't think of anything to do." Which later on in the anime is explained why. Then, Safu and Shion hear the Moon Drop cry, which according to Safu, is a very rare appearance in No. 6. Many scenes of a blue-grey haired boy appear where he gets shot by a gun escaping a prison aka. the correctional facility.

After this scene, Shion and Safu head outside and find it raining which Shion had to pick up his bike the next day because he wouldn't be able to ride his bike home. He walks home and sits on his bed as he listens to the Moon Drop cry. He opens his window and (for some varies reasons) screams outside. The blue-grey haired boy (Nezumi) hears and walks in front of the curtain where Shion was currently screaming. Shion is surprised to see a boy his age with such injury. Nezumi threatens Shion to not say anything and will kill him if he does. There, Shion is completely clueless and is willing to help Nezumi with his wounds and promises to tell anyone else. Nezumi gets somewhat angered and pins Shion to the wall while attempting to choke him. At that moment, Shion's mom calls Shion through a phone system on the wall where he was pinned and right next to the door. Shion agreeing to help Nezumi doesn't tell his mom about Nezumi and lies to his mom about having to write a report and will be staying later in his room later after dinner and for her to not to disturb him.
